i invited my friends round yesterday to watch the game, the first social interaction i have had for a week of so. i will soon be socially inept due to my seclusion from the human race. it was nice to see the friends for a while, it diluted the strong annoyance of the game to a more mild annoyance, the annoyance factor was diluted by 40% (approx). had my friends not been present to witness the game along side me then i feel i may have not been able to control my frustration and lost the plot.

england have been the most frustrating team to watch in the whole of the tournament. we cant defend set pieces. every swedish corner was aimed at the front post and every time the front post runner got infront of beckham to flick the ball on, this is how sweden equalised. they then hit the bar in exactly the same way. later hit the bar again from another corner. then gerrard cleared one off the line from another corner. and finally they equalise from a long throw that terry misjudged, the ball bounced over campbell and ashley cole backed off instead of attacking it. the ball rolled pathetically into the net
